Dec. 21, 1st day of Winter. White Christmas is starting, and I love it. Snow all over Utah County, we had close to a foot. Brenda made a snowman and she says the snow is half her size. Tanner and friend shoveled snow longer than a hour. Quit snowing for now, looks really pretty, love the snow in Utah because we know how to clean up snow here. Few pictures.

Well here it is a few days before Christmas, and I am having a hard time getting the Christmas, it will be the first Christmas in 11 years that Tiara and Colton haven't been with us. They are safe in Kentucky, and now looking for a new life. I just hope things go well for them. They will miss me I know, LOL, because I am the bomb. They are great kids, as are all my grandkids, I am proud of all they do and the things they have accomplished and are doing in their lives. No one could have greater grandkids. Kincade and Hunter were baptized and we had three families together. I being the only grandmother of both. Kristopher was in the play at Timpanogas, It was footloose and it was great. We are lucky to still have Tanner with us.

Well three times fishing and success as always at our favorite fishing hole, but not at the new one we checked out. Will stick to the tried and true. Took some of the grandkids and had a great time. Visited with Mavis and Kim for a short time. Had a very bad Saturday after coming home last Saturday, knocked a pitcher off on my nose, fell in the parking lot between a flower bed and my car, 1 ft. clearance between the running board. A young man tried to help me, but he didn't have a winch so had to figure it out my self. Bruised my whole right side, but life does get better. Went to the balloon fest also but too much wind so balloons didn't raise. Did fireworks and bbq at Beckis on Monday. Got my scrapbook room reorganized and now maybe I can get back to doing what I like best. Have enjoyed my summer so far, except for a few things going on, going to enjoy the week. The new baby to come, heartbeat has been heard and mom can relax now.

Sunday morning and all is quiet, much has happend this month, summer vacation, trip to LV to attend Darleens deployment party. Scout camp for Colton, setting up the pool, Trek for Tanner and Tiara, Fathers Day and my 66th Birthday. ALREADY.. The trip to vegas was quick but good so glad that we went, just ron and I. When you get to be my age you want to have no regrets and so was so glad we were able to visit with the family and see Dee before she left for Afghanistan. She is a remarkable young lady and seems to be handling it well, some homesickness and even scary things to look forward to but very brave.

My bday came and went celebrated by going out to dinner and doing nothing else. Fathers day, those who live here came for dinner and we had a great time. Our numbers are growing, and I mean growing up and it is quite the gang. Colton went on a 3 day camp and worked on his survival skills, and Tanner and Tiara took a pioneer trek and pulled handcarts and slept out in the open and got plenty dirty. They pretty much tried to be like the handcart companies with everything they had in a handcart and pulling it 17 miles or so. It seemed to be a great experience for all. Also to make the month even greater, found out I am going to be a great grandmother for the first time(Karissa and Nate) and my sweet Becki will be having #3, both Becki and Karissa have been very sick, but hopefully this too shall pass. I have so much to ber greatful for. Can't forget that Mac also took a scout trip down the Green River they canoed and Mac is a little tired of the water. Cecilee went to Lake Powell for girls camp, can you imagine. The greatest news is Hunter is back hearing again, they fixed his implant and turned it back on this week, now he can hear us. The Box family has been truly blessed, God is looking over us and keeping us safe, but not without trials.
Well alot has happened over the summer and school starting, hunting fishing, halloweening and many other great activites, birthday Sundays and etc. Its all about family.

School is out and summer vacation starting. Haven't accomplished much yet, headed to see the kids in Vegas. Going down for Darleens deployment party, she will be headed for Afghanistan, hard to believe she is so grown up and going to a foreign country to protect our freedom and help others secure theirs. A very proud grandmother. I am also going to get another grandchild and a great grandchild at the end of the year. My nephew David became a grandfather in April and went to little Keltons blessing today, his mom is Jessica. Tanner and Tiara are getting ready to go on trek, I wish my health was such I could go with them, but it should be a great experience for them. Life is good and finally we have warm weather in Utah, trying to get the pool up so the kids can stay cool.

Went to Rock Springs and saw Music Man, Melisa and her 4 youngest and Becki, McNeil and Tiara went and we got to spend some time with Kaitlyn. And of course the scrapbook expo, had a great time doing all. We have acquired a truck and camper, so summer will be good. Jan. 30, 2010
Alot of things have been going on, not anything too serious, had my knee scoped and it seems to be doing pretty well. Almost all the bruising is gone and I threw away my crutches. The dr did a great job. Some sadness, because I lost my cousin to a very long illness, so his suffering is ended, but he will be missed by his family, also a very dear friend who I have known since I was sick passed away at the age of 84. She was a great lady and will be missed by all who knew her. We all know that they both are in a better place. At times I am a little jealous, but know that I'm not ready to leave this place, have many things to do, to straighten up my act. I also am not ready to leave my family. Knowing full well that the vote is not mine, I pray that I will have time to do the things I need or desire to accomplish. Ron is doing well, has had some agravation in his back, but it seems to be getting better. Brian and family are all well and Kaitlyn is still in Wyo. and the rest are here going to school. Melisa is working at her new job and doing well. Burton and Heather and family are involved in soccer and they both refree and keep the program going. Burton is also refreeing some other sport and working when ever he can. The construction business is still slow in the valley as far as homes go. Brad seems to be doing better health wise. He and his kids still live in our basement apt. He still can't work but hopefully that will change. Becki and Brandon and family are doing well brandons business so far has kept them busy and making enough money. People always want their garage doors to work. Well that about covers us, like I said no great or amazing things, just all doing what we can, and greatful for what we have.

More of 2010

Well today is Jan. 9th, Brenda turned 2 and it seems like the time has gone fast. It was just last year whe was in the hospital. A pretty little sick kid, but she has made up for it now. She said the blessing tonight for the first time, and she was so cute and she did really well. She went shopping with grandma and her mom and I finally got her closet up stairs and her room straightend a little. There has still been some sickness going around, but hopefully, this cold air will kill all the germs if it doesn't kill us first. The new year has been full of blessings and I am so greatful for the good things. We went to Pirate Island to celebrate being 2 and she had a great time. We had previously celebrated Macs and her birthday before this.

Monday, January 4, 2010

4 days into the new year and so far things are good. We are so blessed to have made it through another year without to many problems. Our health isn't at the best but we still manage to get up and do the things we need to do, maybe a little slower though. The kids are all actively involved in many things. Greatful the twins were able to be home for Christmas. Darleen had to return but should be home for a short while soon. Not everything is perfect in their lives, but all the kids are strong and will manage to do the best they can. I'm proud of our grandkids and the good choices they make. Well will keep doing and keep this a little more updated with pictures. Brenda will be 2 on Jan.8th and she has captured the heart of this family.
